This project was an exciting opportunity to design a Japandi-inspired interior for a family of four. The Japandi style, a harmonious blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality, was perfectly suited for creating a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and family-friendly.
Providing ample space for the children to play, learn and grow, while also being a stylish and comfortable for the entire family.
WINDY INTERIOR SPACE
Thanks to the favorable orientation of the unit, we capitalized on the natural airflow to create a breezy and comfortable interior environment.
OPEN AND CLEAR SPACES
The layout was designed with open spaces that are safe and inviting for children, promoting their development and creativity.
BRIGHT AND AIRY FEEL
The use of Venetian blinds along the large windows allows for control over light and privacy. They ensure the interior is bright and airy, yet can be made dark and private when needed.
FUNCTIONAL FEATURE WALL
A feature wall in the center of the living space elegantly separates different functional areas without compromising the open feel of the space.
HOSPITALITY-READY DESIGN
Understanding the family’s love for hosting, we ensured the space is conducive for entertaining family and friends, balancing style with practicality.
VERSATILE LIGHTING DESIGN
The interior lighting is designed to cater to different occasions and needs – bright for study and activities, dimmed for entertainment, and task-oriented for daily routines.
NATURAL MATERIALS
Reflecting the family’s preference, we incorporated natural materials extensively, evident in the wood flooring and the veneer finishes on carpentry items.
KID-FRIENDLY ORIENTATION
Every element of the design considers the safety and enjoyment of children, creating a lively and engaging interior.
RATTAN ACCENTS
The family’s fondness for rattan is showcased in unique ways, such as in the innovative wardrobe design.
OUTCOME
The completed home is a testament to the Japandi philosophy of simplicity, functionality, and beauty. It’s a space that not only meets the family’s needs but also provides a serene and inviting atmosphere for growth, relaxation, and social interaction.
